If you can't find the answer to your question here, please contact us and we will do our best to help you.

Order Questions:

Q: How do I place my order?
A: Until we get an online order form developed, you will need to email the specifics of your order. Please use the Contact page. Or if you choose to send photos via the postal system, you may send the specifics along with your photos.

Q: What information do you need to be able to make a creation for me?
A: Pleas see our Ordering page for this information.

Q: How do I get my photos to you?
A: Right now, photos can be emailed, or sent through the postal system and we will scan them.

Q: Will I get my photos back?
A: Yes. They will be included in the package with your finished photo creation.

Q: How will I receive my finished photo creation?
A: They can either be picked up from us or we can mail them to you (Shipping costs will be included in the final price).

Q: When will I receive my finished photo creation?
A: Since BPDC is a home business and our family takes priority, it could take a week or two to finish, depending on the size of the project.

Copyright Questions:

Q: Can you use photos that have been photographed in a professional studio?
A: We can only use them if we have a written release form from the studio giving us permission to use the photos.

Q: Who owns the copyright on a photo?
A: The original photographer owns the copyright. By sending your photos to us, you are asserting that either you are the photographer, or you have been given permission by the original photographer to have the photo used.

Q: Does that mean that I own the copyright to the finished photo creation?
A: No. By giving us permission to use your photos, we then own the copyright to the finished product, though you still maintain the copyright on the original photos.

Q: Where can I find more information about copyrights?
A: http://www.copyright.gov/circs/circ1.html#wci

Photo Questions:

Q: What format do my photos need to be in?
A: We prefer .jpg but .gif is ok. We do not work with .bmp’s, as the quality of the file is much lower.

Q: Can I be assured that the finished photo creation will have great photo quality?
A: Though we do everything we can to improve the quality of your photos when we create your photo creation, we can only guarantee that the quality will be as good as the quality of the original photo.

Q: Can I scan my own photos and then email them to you?
A: Yes, just keep in mind that scanners will often add noise and lines, reducing the quality of the photo, which may also reduce the quality of your photo creation. Though we do everything we can to improve the quality of your photos when we create your photo creation, we can only guarantee that the quality will be as good as the quality of the original photo. Scanning them in at a higher resolution (600 dpi) will create better scans.

Q: Is there a size and resolution that is best?
A: Photos should be at least 180 dpi and at least 1000 x 1000 pixels in size. Most digital cameras should produce such pictures.
